01. The Challenge

Perimom, a specialist maternity care brand selling perineal massage devices and pregnancy support products, had a beautifully designed Shopify store but minimal organic traffic. The brand was spending heavily on paid ads to drive sales — unsustainable for a growing e-commerce business. Their Shopify theme had several known SEO limitations: duplicate content on collection pages, missing canonical tags on filtered URLs, slow image loading, and no structured data.

The niche, while specific, had solid search demand. The challenge was capturing searchers at every stage — from those researching perineal massage during pregnancy to those ready to purchase a specific product.

02. Our Approach

We started with a deep Shopify-specific technical SEO audit. Shopify has unique constraints — limited URL structure control, auto-generated duplicate pages for product variants, and theme-dependent structured data. We worked within Liquid templating to address these systematically.

In parallel, we built a content cluster strategy — mapping educational topics (how to do perineal massage, benefits during pregnancy, midwife recommendations) to the core product pages to capture informational traffic that converts to buyers.
